We've watched January sun give way to February ice, and we've seen July weddings move indoors when afternoon storms roll through. If you're planning a wedding here, you know the forecast two months out means nothing. That's exactly why we designed Copper Gables Barn as a year-round venue. Our 10,000 square foot barn stays fully heated and air-conditioned through every season, so you can book the date that matters to you without gambling on Pierce County's unpredictable climate.
What Makes Copper Gables Barn Work for Year-Round Pierce County Weddings
Our Copper Gables Barn, a 10,000 square foot interior handles 200 guests comfortably in any season, while the covered deck and courtyard add outdoor options when conditions cooperate. You're not hoping for good weather or scrambling for backup plans.

Climate Control Built for Washington Weather
We've equipped the entire barn with heating and air-conditioning that handles January lows and August highs. The 60' by 80' interior spaces maintain consistent temperatures under 20 crystal chandeliers, and you won't be renting portable heaters, fans, or last minute tents when the weather shifts.
The grand stone fireplace in the great room adds warmth and atmosphere while our modern heating system runs throughout the two-story structure. The 800 square foot covered deck extends your usable space, and the landscaped outdoor courtyard with its antique French fountain, roses, and wisteria becomes a bonus when conditions cooperate.
Historic Venue, Modern Infrastructure
This barn started as the H.L. Wolf Feed & Implement Warehouse in 1915. It became the Roy post office in 1934, then served as the dance hall for the Roy Rodeo starting in 1965. Listed on the Washington Historic Register, you'll see over a century of character in the exposed architecture and stonework.
We preserved that history while installing modern wedding infrastructure. Indoor restrooms for men and women, a bridal suite with a vanity and private en-suite restroom, and a matching groom's suite. The catering kitchen includes refrigerators, a chest freezer, a double oven, and dual sinks. The 20 crystal chandeliers and 3 wagon wheel lights are fully dimmable. The built-in bar area, large wooden dance floor, and stage with lighting accommodate live bands or DJs. You'll also access a Blue-tooth enabled jukebox and portable speaker with microphone.
What's Included With Your Booking
We handle setup and teardown. Your booking includes 200 wooden cross-back chairs, 16 round banquet tables with white linens seating 10 to 12 each, 8 wooden farmhouse tables seating 8 each, 4 six-foot banquet tables, 3 vintage painted buffets, 6 decorative wine barrels, and 3 outdoor wine barrel tables with 6 swivel chairs.
You'll receive a custom entry sign with your names and wedding date, a one-hour rehearsal the week before your event, and full venue cleanup with an onsite dumpster. Saturday weddings run from 10 am to midnight with music ending at 11 pm. Sunday and weekday weddings run from 11 am to 11 pm with music ending at 10 pm.
Micro Weddings for Intimate Celebrations
Our micro wedding package accommodates 40 guests and up to 100 max. It includes an officiant, fresh flower bouquet and boutonniere, customizable two-layer cutting cake, full dinner and dessert catering, table settings with gold chargers, plates, napkins, and glassware, bartender for four hours, jukebox or bring your own DJ, and full setup and cleanup. Alcohol isn't included, but you arrange that separately. Micro weddings run from noon to 10 pm with the same climate controlled comfort year-round.
Conclusion
Pierce County couples shouldn't have to choose between outdoor charm and weather security. We designed Copper Gables Barn to eliminate that compromise. The climate controlled interior gives you certainty, the historic architecture gives you atmosphere, and the year-round capability means you choose your date based on what matters to you, not what the Farmers' Almanac predicts.
