Roy, WA — Est. 1915 — Washington Historic Register

Where History
Hosts Your
Forever

A fully heated and air-conditioned barn wedding venue in Thurston County. Up to 200 guests, every season, with no backup plans required.

More than a venue

A Piece of Washington History

Copper Gables Barn started as the H.L. Wolf Feed and Implement Warehouse in 1915. Over the decades it became a general store, a post office, and the dance hall for the Roy Rodeo.

Today it is one of the most distinctive barn wedding venues in Thurston County, restored with care and updated with everything a modern couple actually needs. This is not a converted box with string lights. It is a two-story, 10,000 square foot barn that took over 100 years to look this good.

The barn sits in downtown Roy, within 30 minutes of Olympia, 10 minutes of Joint Base Lewis-McChord, and an easy drive from Tacoma, Puyallup, Yelm, and Spanaway.

What makes Copper Gables different

Built for Every Season

Your wedding does not depend on the weather

The entire barn is fully enclosed, heated, and air-conditioned, so your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all happen indoors. No tent, no backup plan, no three months of checking forecasts. The covered outdoor deck and landscaped courtyard with the antique French fountain are there when you want them.

Twenty chandeliers, one dance floor worth using

The great room centers around a grand stone fireplace. Twenty crystal chandeliers hang overhead, all dimmable, creating the warm light photographers love. The wooden dance floor is large and solid. There is a lighted stage for your band or DJ, a built-in bar, and a Bluetooth jukebox.

Separate suites for both parties

Both the bridal suite and the groom's suite have private en-suite restrooms, vanities, and enough space to actually get ready without bumping into each other. Your parties can arrive at the same time and prepare in complete comfort at the same venue.

Tables, chairs, linens  already part of the deal

200 wooden cross-back chairs, 16 round banquet tables with white linens, 8 farmhouse-style tables, a full catering kitchen, vintage painted buffets, decorative wine barrels, a custom entry sign with your names and date, and complete setup and teardown service.

Open vendor policy

Copper Gables has an open vendor policy. Bring in your own caterer, photographer, florist, and DJ. A preferred vendor list is available on request if you would like somewhere to start.

Rehearsal included, everything else ready

Your one-hour rehearsal is included the week before your wedding. The rental covers the full setup and flip from ceremony to reception, so nothing falls on you or your family on the day of your wedding.
